Strictly provides five main roles by default:
- merchant-admin: Administrator of the platform with full access.
- merchant-agent: Limited access, focused only on customer-related functionalities.
- merchant-group: Allows visibility into other merchants' information if the merchant belongs to a group.
- merchant-supervisor: All user permissions plus the ability to apply discounts.
- merchant-user: Basic user role, the most commonly used.
Each role has specific permissions assigned according to its responsibilities within the organization.
Creating a Custom Role
If none of the default roles meet your requirements, you can create custom roles. Follow these steps:
- Go to the Roles tab in the side navigation.
- Click the New Role button located at the top right of the screen.
- Assign a name and description to the role. For the name, follow the existing naming convention: use lowercase letters and dashes (e.g.,
custom-role-name
). - Assign the desired permissions by toggling the switch next to each permission. You can use the options at the top of the table to add or remove all permissions at once. Use the search input at the top of the table to find specific permissions more easily.
- Click the Save button at the top right of the page.
After saving, the new role will be available to assign to any user. If you encounter any issues, it may be due to related permissions that were not properly activated. For assistance, please contact support.
