Create a User

You can create as many users as needed in Strictly platform. These users will have access to the platform to perform operations such as capturing payments, creating invoices, or simply accessing reports, depending on their assigned role.


  1. Go to the "Users" tab in the side navigation.

  2. Click the "New User" button at the top right of the screen.

  3. Enter the required information, including first name, last name, and email. Additional details like phone number are optional but recommended, as they may be necessary for certain platform actions.

  4. If your industry requires integrating with external systems where this user exists and data needs to be pulled from there, enter the identifier in the External Identifier field. Otherwise, this field can be left blank.*

  5. Assign a role to the user. The assigned role determines what areas of the platform the user can access. Refer to this article for guidance on selecting the appropriate role.

  6. Set visibility permissions. By default, users can see all items created by other users. For example, invoices created by one user are visible to all logged-in users. If you need to restrict access so the user can only view the items they create, check the box labeled "This user can only see the items they create."


After completing these steps, the user will receive a welcome email with instructions to activate their account and log in.


* Note: Adding an external identifier is just the first step. To fully integrate and retrieve external data for this user, additional configurations may be required. Contact your Agent if you need this setup.
