Customizing SMS Messages

Modified on Wed, 29 Jan at 6:39 PM

Multiple SMS messages are sent to customers to prompt them to complete actions or to notify them once an action has been completed (e.g., payment receipt).

By default, Strictly platform provides optimized messages for each scenario. However, if needed, the SMS content can be customized by following these steps:

  1. In the side navigation, select "Administration."
  2. Select "SMS Customization."
  3. Choose the message you want to edit from the list on the left side of the page. The selected message and customization options will appear on the right.
  4. Modify the text as needed.
  5. To insert dynamic content, click the "Insert Dynamic Tag" button. A side panel will display the available dynamic tags for the selected SMS. Click the "Insert" button next to the tag you want to include, and it will be added automatically.
  6. If you want to revert to the original system-generated message, click the "Reset to Default" button and confirm the action.
  7. Once you're satisfied with the edits, click the "Save Changes" button. Updates will apply immediately, and all future messages will reflect your changes.

Additional Notes

- When crafting your SMS, ensure it follows industry best practices. Check this article for more details.

- All SMS messages must include the sender and business name. If you attempt to remove these fields, the system will notify you.

- All SMS automatically include the required compliance text: "Reply STOP to unsubscribe." You do not need to add it manually.
