Charges vs. Refunds
Understanding the "Charges vs Refunds" Chart
The "Charges vs Refunds" chart provides a clear visual representation of the payments collected from clients (charges) and the refunds issued to them over a selected timeframe. This chart helps you track the inflow and outflow of money in your business.
When you select a timeframe (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly), the x-axis will represent this period, showing the financial activity within that duration. Charges, represented by [color/shape], indicate the total payments collected from clients for the services or products provided. These reflect your business's revenue. Refunds, represented by [color/shape], show the money returned to clients, which represents a loss for your business.
To use the chart, first select your desired timeframe. The chart will update to display the charges and refunds for that period. By comparing the bars/lines for charges and refunds, you can quickly see your revenue against the refunds issued. This helps you analyze financial trends, such as identifying periods with high revenue or frequent refunds. Understanding these trends can help you make informed decisions to manage and optimize your business finances. Hover over the bars/lines for detailed information about each data point and use any available filters to refine your view for more specific insights.
