What is an Item
An Item is a product or a service offered by your business.
Create an Item
1. In the side navigation, locate the "Items" tab.
2. Click on the "New Item" button located at the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Complete the required information, and click on the "Confirm" button.
Input | Description |
Name | The unique identifier for the item or service. Should be clear and descriptive, e.g., "Organic Cotton T-Shirt" or "Deluxe Cleaning Package." |
Description | A detailed narrative providing information about the item or service, including features, benefits, and specific details. For products, mention material, size, and special characteristics; for services, outline what is included and any limitations. |
SKU | A unique code used to identify and track the item in inventory, aiding in stock management and quick reference. Even for services, an SKU can assist in organization and reporting. |
Sales Price | The cost at which the item or service is being sold, excluding taxes or additional fees. Clearly indicate if the price is fixed or if discounts apply. |
Categories | The classification or grouping under which the item or service falls, aiding in organization and helping customers find items. Categories can range from broad (e.g., "Apparel") to specific (e.g., "Men's T-Shirts"). |
Taxes | The applicable tax rate or amount for the item or service, including any sales tax, VAT, or other applicable taxes. Specify if the tax is included in the displayed price or added at checkout. |
