If you have an existing customer and are using a new payment method to complete a payment, you have the option to associate the new payment method with the customer, ensuring it is safely stored for future use.
Follow these steps to save a new payment method to the customer’s profile:
- Create a new payment.
- Select a customer using the "Select Customer" button in the section.
- Instead of using any of the existing payment methods for that customer, choose the option "Manually enter card information" or "Manually enter bank information" and complete the payment method details.
- You’ll notice a toggle at the bottom of the box labeled "Save this payment method to the customer's profile." Activate it.
- Complete the payment.
After the payment is completed, the payment method will be saved and associated with the selected customer.
