What is a Payment

A payment refers to the transfer of money from one party (the payer) to another (the payee) in exchange for goods, services, or to fulfill a financial obligation. Payments can be made in various forms, including cash, check, credit card, electronic funds transfer,, or other means depending on the agreement between the parties involved.

Create a Payment

1. Navigate to the "Payments" tab from the side menu.

2. Click on the "New Payment" button located at the top-right corner of the screen.

3. Enter the amount. This represents the total charge before taxes and fees.

4. Choose a "Payment Method" and provide the necessary details. Our platform supports payments via Cards, Bank Account Transfers (ACH), Cash, and Electronic Checks. Depending on your setup, you'll see the available payment methods listed. For adding new methods, please contact your Agent for assistance.

5. If you have any "Custom Fields" configured, fill in the required information in the designated section. Custom fields are tailored per merchant to gather specific details needed for payments.

6. Optionally, input the "Billing Address" to enhance payment security and credibility. You can also include a "Shipping Address" if necessary.

7. Review the "Transaction Details" before finalizing the payment. Here, you can add applicable taxes from a preconfigured list or apply available discounts.

8. For credit card or bank account payments, fees may apply based on your configuration. Ensure to read and acknowledge any applicable fees before proceeding with the payment.

9. Click on the "Submit Payment" button to initiate the transaction.

10. If all information is accurate, the payment will be processed, and you'll be prompted to "Print Receipt" or "Send Receipt" on the subsequent screen.
